One man is dead after a fatal collision early Saturday morning just south of the city.
A little after 1 a.m., emergency crews were called to Hwy 2A and 338 Ave. north of Okotoks for a serious collision between a sport utility vehicle and a car.
EMS spokesman Adam Loria said both vehicles sustained significant damage in the crash.
Upon arrival, paramedics found two victims of the crash. A man in his 40s was transported to Foothills with numerous non-life threatening injuries.
The second victim, a male of undetermined age believed to be an occupant of the SUV, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police continue to investigate the cause of the crash.
