Thieves prepared for golf season after Red Deer break-in

Three thieves with a fondness for Titleist golf equipment and oversized shirts made off with around $9,000 worth of swag in a Red Deer golf course break-in.

Three men broke into several sheds and the clubhouse of the River Bend Golf Course April 27, making off with equipment as well as a 2006 Calgary Flames goalie stick signed by Miikka Kiprusoff.

They also unsuccessfully tried to pry open an ATM in the break-in around 3:30 a.m.

The thieves stole a Titleist Vokey sand wedge, three Titleist CB pitching wedges, a Titleist 2 iron, a Titleist 915D2 driver with a Paderson shaft, a Mizuno three-wood with a Paderson shaft, a Nike Method putter, a Ping golf bag (red, yellow and gold Team South Logo), a pair of Ecco Biom golf shoes, a dozen Pro V golf balls, three Titleist gloves, five XXL Nike men’s shirts and three size 40 Nike men’s pants, two Bushnell Tour Z6 Jolt rangefinders and an Acer computer.

Anyone with information should contact the Red Deer RCMP or Crime Stoppers.
